I would go far enough to argue it doesn't even matter if being trans is a choice, hate is hate, have you chosen hate? You have chosen to be the bad guy.
But no, I don't think that being trans is a choice. I'm just saying........... From people who talk so much about freedom, why is it so hard for them to understand that other people have the right to do as they wish also. "Freedom to agree with me" isn't freedom.

I tell people that the arch of history is long, but bends in.. the direction it is being pushed. I have a whole metaphor about it that involves people leaning on a wall, indifferent, casual, not doing anything wrong, when a man walks up, braces against the wall, and begins pushing.
"What are you doing?" Says someone. "There are people I hate who are on the other side of this wall, I'm going to push it over and kill them." People look at him like he's crazy, but also stupid, the wall looks solid, nobody is going to push it over. "Good luck with that."
The person keeps on pushing, little by little other people walk up and start pushing too, perhaps not even knowing why, people watch, disinterested, thinking its stupid, but it's not hurting anyone. Eventually the person stands up, dusts his hands, straightens his clothes... Looks at one of the watchers. "Why didn't anyone try to stop me? I told you I was trying to kill people for no other reason than that I hate them."
People shrug. "You weren't going to succeed. That wall is solid." The man says "You shouldn't stand aside and let someone do something evil because you don't think they can succeed. That their actions are evil, this alone justifies intervention. Even if you think the wall is invulnerable, everything has it's breaking point, and once the wall falls, it's too late."
The message here, ultimately, is that evil wins because of indifference. Most people live their life in indifference. Even now, most "center" Americans are indifferent to things going on as long as it doesn't impact them directly.
Sorry if this was a bit preachy u.u
