Achenar Debuine was introduced in book 3 of my Legend of Ahya series. He was a captured and experimented on jaguar that has the power of being able to manipulate time for short bursts in a bubble around him. He can dictate who or what can move faster or slower within that sphere of influence which has assisted others in combat tactics.
He is young, but not naive, having grown up on the streets with his brothers who got into gangs, drugs and mistresses of the night. Now being the only Debuine brother left alive, he seeks to make a better life for himself than what his parents left him and his siblings. Being adopted by the former chief of police of Zabokar has had a positive effect on his overall life direction and attitude. The rigid structure and firm boundaries and rules has set him straight and he seeks to be a son that'll make his adopted father proud. He loves his adopted sister, Moira Baccharin, a pangolin captured and experimented alongside him, and is highly protective of her. His newfound family is what matters most to him now and he'll die defending it. A grateful son indeed.
