In this case though, I didn't use any reference since I was doodling my own character for fun. And well, your own character, you draw them without thinking too much about it. ^^
I do have a bunch of images from Paco and many other artists saved in my references folder. For other images, I usually try to use reference from multiple artists and media/movies/real animals/drawing tutorials to prevent it looking from someone in particular. But you end up keeping in your way of drawing things that you like. So the resemblance comes from there ^^'
