Another weekend has arrived, and I hope everyone is enjoying it so far. My week was sort of crazy. A lot of things happened at work all at once. As such, my usual workload was a bit larger than it usually is. I was able to manage it but I am hoping things go back to normal soon. My sense of intuition tells me that it probably won't so I will continue to grind away if that's the case. I won't complain though...I know some have it far worse off than I do. I never take what I have for granted and am always grateful for what I have.
As for the stories, I went on a bit of a writing spree this week. I was able to finish one side project as well as two chapters of my own story. The teenage arc for Pent and Xavier is coming towards it's end. Currently, I have no idea of how to end it, but I don't think the internship chapter is the best way to do it. I intend to at least do one more chapter, but if I can come up with something more than it may end up being two. So if you guys would like to request or suggest something, then please let me know in the comments below.
I am still struggling to find a way to promote my stories. The survey didn't go quite as planned. I still don't know what people would like to see. Someone asked me last week if my stories are AI-generated...which they are not. I didn't let it bother me much but it still stung a bit. Regardless, I remain open for commissions and trades.
I just stumbled in, from what I can surmise you probably have the no-yiff crowd locked in, but sex sells and if you wanna promote yourself and get views (here) you should get more lewd, but that's just my take, I'm not into slice-of-life stuff myself hehe
Oooofff getting an AI comment, that's just rough! Seems like writers are getting the same treatment as artists now, both on being competed against and being claimed to be using those robots. I just did a quick read of your most recent story, managing like a page or two (again, not into slice of life hehe) and I stumbled over this little part: It was a darker day that day. Cloud cover was dense, and a few of them were grey. It appeared that it was going to rain that day. I don't know if AI writes like this (I don't partake in such for now), but the sentences here come off, well, clunky? Mechanical? Maybe redundant? Like it could be "The sky was darker than yesterday, the deep, grey clouds promised rain." or something more condensed like that? Anyways, I guess that's more feedbacky as I again don't know about the robots' habits when it comes to writing!

Thanks for the comment. I know that yiff is what the furry community at large is most interested in. There used to be a time that I wrote more of it. My willingness to write it hasn't changed but I've created myself a double standard. Most of what I write nowadays is for me. So I write what I enjoy and that is not nearly as yiff centric as some people are wanting. My commission sheet hasn't changed but I do agree that anyone who comes along now and reads my stuff would probably think I'm a sfw only writer.
I appreciate the feedback on the tidbit. Looking back at it, I agree with your criticism for the most part. I tend to write stream of conscious so it made sense to me at the time. But I definitely can see where your coming from.

There's another aspect of your writings, and that is the multi-chapter nature of them (as far as I can surmise), like you have the same characters appear in many stories as their lives unfold. I notice on my own story series that viewership just drops Now I write smut and all that, but in a series where say the intensity remains approximately the same, the theme approximately the same, as well as the kinks, the difference in views and favs from story 1 to the last/latest chapter is stark! Maybe try out some standalones? Make 'em a bit longer (or maybe shorter), make up some new characters and dynamics that are in their own little universe, maybe see if that might bring in some fresh views?
Funnily enough some of my most viewed and faved stories are the shortest ones, that always surprises me as I personally prefer a longer format of smut to really get invested, but I again come at it from the yiff angle hehe

I plan on doing one offs and non cannon stuff pretty soon. I am just finishing my current project which is very close to the end. How much engagement do you generally get?

But obviously the more vanilla they are the more popular they are, on average, and they get more favs. Like, if something is heavy kink it can get the same number of views, but perhaps only half the favs. People probably self-censor their favs I tell myself hehe
