AI art feels like just a handful of new synthetic artists joined the fandom

Anybody else feels like this ?

AI art often look alike, there are just a few popular looks for AI pictures and in the end to me it looks like there are just a handful of new - but very prolific - artists in furry art.

Much ado about nothing.

That's because the AI models have all been trained on the same images, it's like dumping all the popular furry styles in a blender. The result takes a little of every style, but it has no personality of its own.

Clearly. There are popular prompt like "hyperealistic, masterpiece" etc and it all outputs the same looking stuff.

Some artists have trained their own AI models with a specific style, but it takes a lot of work. So most people just use whatever is available online.

I made the experiment and inputted several examples of my own art to see how it worked. The result looked vaguely like my work if I was very drunk and drawing with my foot, but the basic style was recognizable. I deleted it because it served no purpose for me, but I know artists who had made it work very nicely.

Yes, I've noticed some AI art mimicking the style of specific artists too. When I get a new PC I'll try my hand at training the AI on MS paint stuff I draw, see if it can handle it.

Welcome to Ai schlock.

Everything is homogenized to the point everything looks the same. There is no identity, there is no unique aspect, there is nothing special, there is no style.

This is the limit of Ai. It can't get "better", it can only steal more content and spread like a cancer with the sheer bulk that pours out.
