Happy New Year!

Not much to say but that I hope the next year will go well for everyone.

The past year hasn't been bad at all for me, but commissions had to take a backseat due to more pressing issues. I think next year should be more productive.

As always, questions, comments, feedback, etc are very welcome.

Something I've been curious about in your world -

Clearly, sexual contact between prey and predator is perfectly normal, but I am curious about how otherwise matrimony and such goes along with it, if it exists at all? :d

Does a familial structure exist? Are all predators "polyamorous" (for the lack of a better term)? Is sexual contact with prey simply seen as nothing out of the ordinary, and since they are considered sub-human (again, for the lack of a better word lol), female partners do not take an issue with it? I am mostly curious about how predator families and relations function... Which I realize is kind of outside of what your work otherwise focuses on, but I can't help from wondering..

So far, prey is just food to a predator, and supposed to just be caught, quickly killed with minimal pain and delay, and fully eaten.

Kids get a lot more leeway, partly because they're learning and experimentation and fun is allowed, partly because the adults want them to handle the case where they don't succeed in killing right away. They want them to be prepared to deal with a resisting prey and finish it off anyway.

But an adult should just ambush the prey, kill it quickly and bring a dead body home. Of course they could have some extra fun first, but it's not that great of an idea since they need a lot of meat to survive. Keep screwing around and a prey will find a way to hurt you eventually.

Of course some people will break the rules. The current idea is that it's fairly common, but not supposed to be too obvious. If you're doing it, you keep it under wraps. Some people will think it's deeply immoral, and some will think it's just very dangerous and stupid.
